Time to catch up some rest.
Mr.Laurel voluntaried to keep awake and wakeup the otehr two by 6:00AM since we had a flight to Macau.
Remeber, What happens in Macau, stays in Macau.
What happens in Thailand, is up to me to publish in The Hindu.
Now, Mr.Laurel will take over and blog about what happened in Macau.
I w ill then return back to continue about what happened in Pattaya.

2008/01/09 – 01:00AM
Prof.Snape came back to the hotel and there was Dr.Grumpy drinking beer (did I say again !) with his new Thai friend. Mr.Laurel was no where to be found. Seriously, am I bothered that Mr.Laurel is missing.
Dr.Grumpy asked Prof.Snape to settle the bill for the beer. Prof.Snape was for all practical reasons a bankrupt then and said no cash, no card since all the cards were in the hotel room safe.
Dr asked Prof to go to the room and get the cards as the beer house is closing in a couple of minutes.
Prof, being totally unaware of what is happeing, went happily to the room and heard the very infamous question "Are you in yet?" being asked by some one to some one else and then, saw ...
Prof. came down, and was setteling the bill when Mr.Laurel and his new Thai Friend joined the rest downstairs.
Now is'nt this a wonderfull randevouz.

Prof.Snape befriended a TukTuk wala and went for some nice Thai Massage and returned back by 11:00 pm or so. Not really sure how long Prof was out.
Prof has absolutely no idea where Mr.Laurel and Dr.Grumpy were and what they are up to.
Prof came back to the hote, took some more cash and since the night is still young, desided to have some more fun.
It is good to have some one waiting for you with a TukTuk, just outside the hotel with a running engine. Hop in and away you go.
For a minute by minute explanation of what happend in this two hours time, PM me. If you know what I am talking about.

In the brief Prof.Snape left the other two and went to the hotel once to drop off the camera,and again to take some additional cash, Prof.Snape learnt some very very nice lessons.
Thai society is a very open society. They don't label anyone for anything like most western society do.
The actual lesson being, When Prof.Snape and Dr.Grumpy were walking in the streets togather, neither got any offers from local Thais. With Prof.Snape and Mr.Laurel, same is the case.
But, When Prof.Snape walked the streets alone, just a couple of meters, there were too many offers. Now, this is the drawback of such a open society. They assumed we are gay and noone approached us. Roaming around as a single man, the situation is completely different.
Now, time for some thinking. Prof.Snape desided to split with the other two and part ways.
He went back to Ambassador and told the other two of his observations and went on his own way.

Is is only two hours since we had our last beer? Good Bangkok is hot and here we are thirsty again.

Time to return back to our hotel and plan next steps.
We returned back to the BTS station and say some kind of live performance of Thai street dancing by Thai boys. Not really sure if these guys were street dwellers or were performing for money. Just spent a couple of seconds and moved on.

Dr.Grumpy's friend has recomended us to take the BTS. Bangkok Sky Train.
Prof.Snape was all game for it and for all in to have the ride at any cost.
We walked a bit and found the train station and went in.
A quick tip. There are ticket vending machines which would accept coins and despence tickets. If you have bank notes, never mind. There are booths which are manned by staffs and would be more than happy to give 10 Bhat coins for bank notes. We change 200 Bhat in to 10 Bhat coins and started our journey.
For this trip we desided to do to MKB shopping complex.
We got three 25 Bhat tickets and boarded the train. Some points to ponder ...
The ticket cost is high. Much higher than any MRTS in India. Yet, I felt the cost was justified as the stations were immaculately clean. They need money to do such kind of maintenance work.
We then went to MKB shopping complex and spent some time there.

Time for another round of roaming out.
Prof. Snape, Mr. Laurel & Dr.Grumpy started walking the Soi 11 to and fro searching for a bar and looking out at Thais with wide open mouth.
We setteled at a bar and ordered a beer.
Mr.Laurel spotted a white man (German ?) with a big equipment. I mean a professional looking camera and desided to hang out with him.
We chit chatted with him for a while and offered to take a couple of shots of us 3.
Then Prof.Snape thanked him, bought him a beer and we started to walk again.
